What 'security guard attendance login' means
People use the phrase for three different things. For a guard, it usually means signing in to the attendance app on their phone, and then 'logging in' for duty, which is the clock-in at the start of the shift. For a supervisor or an agency's office staff, it means signing in to the web dashboard where every guard's attendance shows up. And for someone searching online, it often means 'where is my company's login page?'.
There is no single security guard attendance login website. Each agency or society uses its own attendance software, and the login comes from your employer: the app to install, the email or username your account was created with, and the first password or sign-in link. If you are a guard and don't have those, ask your supervisor or HR. Don't sign in through login pages you find on unofficial sites, because a fake page is an easy way to lose your password.
How a guard logs in and marks attendance (Attend Mitra example)
The steps are similar in most guard attendance apps. In Attend Mitra, the agency's admin creates each guard's account first, and the guard then signs in on their own phone, Android or iPhone:
- Your admin adds you as an employee with your work email; that email is your login
- Install the Attend Mitra employee app and sign in with that email and your password
- Allow camera access if your company uses face verification, and location if it uses the site geofence
- At the start of duty, at the site, slide to clock in and complete the face or location check, as shown in clocking in from the mobile app
- At the end of duty, slide again to clock out
- No signal in the basement or at a remote gate? The punch still records and syncs later through offline mode
Supervisor login: checking guards across sites
Field supervisors are usually employees too, so they sign in to the same app with their own account and clock in at each site they visit; that record is proof of the visit. Supervisors who also manage guards get a manager or delegated-admin role from the agency owner, which gives them the web console on a laptop or desktop.
From the console, a supervisor sees who has clocked in at each site in Live Monitor and reviews or corrects entries in attendance logs. Corrections made there are recorded, which is what replaces the initialled strike-through of a paper register.
Agency admin login
The agency owner and any delegated admins sign in to the web console at app.attendmitra.com from a computer. That is where guards are added and deactivated, sites and geofences are set, shifts are published, and the checks guards must pass at clock-in (face, GPS geofence, office Wi-Fi) are switched on under Attendance Security. Admins also reset a guard's password from Employees when a guard is locked out, so guards don't have to wait for the software vendor.
One login per guard: rules that stop proxy attendance
A login is only useful as attendance evidence if it belongs to one person. The moment a supervisor keeps five guards' passwords, or guards share one phone and one account, the record stops proving who was on duty. Most of the value of a guard attendance app comes from these rules:
- Every guard has their own account; never create a shared 'site' login for a post
- Passwords are not written in the duty register or kept by the supervisor
- Face verification is on, so a colleague can't clock in for an absent guard; see how face recognition attendance works
- The site geofence is on, so a guard can't clock in from home; fake-GPS apps are a known trick, covered in preventing GPS spoofing in attendance
- Accounts of guards who leave are deactivated the same day
- Every correction goes through the console, never through a guard clocking in again for a past shift
Guards without a smartphone
Some guards have basic phones or no phone at all. Agencies usually handle this in one of three ways: provide a company phone for the guard, keep the paper daily register for those guards and have the supervisor enter their attendance in the console (which records who made the entry), or use a shared device at the gate if the attendance system supports a kiosk setup. Whichever you pick, write it down as policy, because 'the supervisor marked it' is only defensible if it is the agreed process.
Login problems and how to fix them
Most failed logins and failed clock-ins come from a handful of causes. Work through the one that matches the message on screen:
- Forgot password: use Forgot password on the login screen with the email on your account, then follow the reset email; see reset your password
- 'Account inactive': your account has been deactivated, often by mistake after a transfer; your admin can reactivate it, as explained in employee account shows as inactive
- Wrong email: sign in with the exact email your agency registered, not a personal one
- Face check fails: use even light and hold the phone at eye level; if your appearance has changed, ask for a face re-enroll code
- 'Outside the geofence': turn on precise location, step out from under concrete for a fresh GPS fix and try again; more fixes in clock-in failed
- New phone: install the app, sign in again and do one test clock-in at the site; you may need to enroll your face again
If your agency or society uses a different system
Large agencies often have their own employee apps, and many housing societies record guard and staff attendance through their society management app on a device at the gate. The logic is the same: an account per person, a check at clock-in, and a dashboard for the office. Your employer's admin can reset your login; the software company usually can't, because it doesn't manage your employer's staff list. Whatever the system, the attendance record should still produce the columns a security guard attendance format needs: guard, site, post, shift, actual times and verification.
For agency owners: a login policy that holds up in an audit
Clients and inspectors increasingly ask how an electronic attendance record is controlled. A short written policy answers that before it is asked:
- Guard IDs in the app match the IDs in the guard register and wage register
- Accounts are created at joining and deactivated at exit, by named admins only
- Face and geofence checks are on for every site, with any exception approved in writing
- Supervisors review missed and failed punches daily, and corrections carry a reason
- The month's site-wise export is kept with the invoice, like the paper register it replaces; see the security guard attendance register format for what it must contain
