Is ubiAttendance Free? Free Trial, App Price and How It Works (2026)

Whether ubiAttendance has a free plan, what its 7-day free trial covers, how its per-user subscription and add-ons are priced, and how the ubiAttendance app works for employers.

Is ubiAttendance free: the ubiAttendance free trial and subscription explained step by step

Is ubiAttendance free? The short answer

No, ubiAttendance is not free forever. The app is free to download, and its Google Play and App Store listings offer a 7-day free trial; after that it is a paid subscription, which you can start with as few as 5 employees on a one-month plan. The vendor describes itself as subscription-based, and its pricing page has framed the trial as a 7-day free trial of the Premium plan.

So the right way to think about it is “free to try, paid to keep”. The rest of this guide explains what the trial includes, how the subscription and add-ons are priced, and how the ubiAttendance app actually works day to day.

Attend Mitra isn’t affiliated with ubiAttendance; we make a competing attendance app, and the details below come from ubiAttendance’s own app-store listings and pricing page.

What ubiAttendance is and how it works

ubiAttendance is an employee attendance app from Ubitech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., which also makes the ubiHRM payroll and HR app. Its listings say it is used by companies in 101+ countries. The setup the vendor describes is three steps: register your company, add employees, and start tracking attendance.

Once that is done, employees mark attendance from their own phones or from a company phone. Each punch captures the time, location and a selfie, and the app lists several ways to check that the right person is at the right place:

  • Mobile attendance with selfie, GPS location and time on every punch.
  • Face recognition with liveness detection, as a biometric check on the phone.
  • Geo-fencing, so attendance is recorded only inside the areas you set.
  • QR code attendance for workers and labour, capturing user ID, time, location and selfie.
  • Kiosk-style attendance on a shared company phone, plus an attendance machine mode aimed at schools.
  • Offline attendance for sites without network, and field visit tracking with photo, location and distance travelled.

What you can do in the ubiAttendance free trial

The 7-day trial is short, so plan it before you start. Screen names can differ between app versions, but the flow follows the vendor’s own three steps:

  • Download ubiAttendance from Google Play or the App Store, or use Try for free on its website.
  • Register your company as the admin; this creates the account you will manage everything from.
  • Add a handful of employees (the pricing page lists employee import if you have a sheet).
  • Ask two or three staff to punch in from the actual worksite, including one spot with weak network.
  • Before day 7, check the reports (the vendor lists 40+ attendance reports) and decide which add-ons you need.

ubiAttendance app price: how the subscription works

ubiAttendance is priced per user on a subscription, with one main Premium plan and optional add-ons. Its pricing page works out a price from your headcount, offers monthly or yearly billing (with two months free on yearly), and says the price per head falls as the team grows; teams above 100 users are asked to contact sales for a discounted quote.

The Premium plan’s listed features include mobile and desktop apps, selfie and location attendance, offline attendance, QR code attendance, kiosk mode, fake time and fake location detection, shifts, holidays and weekly offs, and attendance reports. Features listed as add-ons include employee tracking, geo-fence, face recognition, shift planner, track visits, timesheets, basic and advanced leave, payroll and expenses.

We could not load the live ubiAttendance pricing page on 22 October 2026 (the site returned an error), so we have not quoted a rupee figure here. Some software directories show dollar prices and a 15-day trial, but those don’t match the vendor’s own 7-day trial wording, so ask ubiAttendance for a written quote that lists the base price, each add-on and GST. Our breakdown of what attendance software costs in India shows how per-user prices and add-ons usually add up.

ubiAttendance app download and login

On Android, the app is listed on Google Play as Attendance App | ubiAttendance; on iPhone, it is Attendance App - ubiAttendance on the App Store. Both are free downloads. On Google Play, check that the developer shown is Ubitech Solutions, because the same developer publishes several other attendance apps with similar names.

Login depends on your role. The admin who registered the company signs in with the account created at registration and manages employees, shifts and reports from the app or the desktop version. Employees sign in with the details their admin set up for them, so if an employee can’t log in, the admin should first check that the person was added and is active.

Making the most of a 7-day ubiAttendance trial

A week goes quickly, especially if your staff work shifts. A few checks will tell you more than any feature list:

  • Test the geo-fence at your real site boundary, not just at your desk.
  • Turn off mobile data on one phone, punch in, then turn it back on and confirm the punch synced.
  • Try face recognition in your gate’s actual lighting, early morning and evening.
  • List which features you used that are add-ons, because those set your real monthly bill.
  • Ask whether payroll means the ubiAttendance payroll add-on or the separate ubiHRM product, and what each costs.

Doing the same in Attend Mitra

If you are comparing trials, here is the equivalent in Attend Mitra. Our free trial runs 14 days, so it covers two full working weeks:

ubiAttendance or Attend Mitra: which fits you

ubiAttendance makes sense if you need field visit and distance tracking, timesheets or a school attendance mode, and you are happy to get a quote for the add-ons. Attend Mitra suits Indian businesses that want a published rupee price per module: Attendance ₹29, Verified Attendance (face, GPS geofence, office Wi-Fi) ₹16, Leave ₹9 and Payroll ₹32 per employee per month, before 18% GST, with an 8% discount on two or more modules. Neither app has a free-forever plan.

Our payroll module calculates PF, ESI, TDS, PT and payslips in the same app (filing returns such as the PF ECR stays with you or your CA). If you want to see it on your own staff list first, you can book a walkthrough with our team, or compare the daily punch across other tools in our guide to marking attendance in HR apps.
