Monthly attendance software cost for a 50-employee team compared across tools

What attendance software costs in India in 2026

For a 50-person team, attendance software with GPS-checked clock-in costs between ₹0 and ₹7,200 a month before GST, based on the prices vendors published on 18 October 2026. Five of the eight paid tools we priced cost ₹4,495 a month or less. Per employee, the paid tools work out to ₹41–₹144 a month.

The spread is wide because vendors price in three different ways, put GPS and face checks on different plan levels, and include payroll in some plans but not others. This guide works through those differences so you can estimate your own bill. The full feature comparison, with links to every vendor's pricing page, is on our best attendance software in India comparison.

We make Attend Mitra, one of the tools priced here. Every figure below is the vendor's own list price, before 18% GST.

Monthly cost for 50 employees, tool by tool

Each figure is the cheapest plan that includes GPS- or geofence-checked mobile clock-in, at the billing term the vendor shows. Optional add-ons and promotional discounts are left out.

  • Jibble: ₹0. Free for unlimited users; payroll only as an export to Xero, QuickBooks or Deel.
  • Attend Mitra: ₹2,070 (Attendance + Verified Attendance modules at ₹41.40 per employee). Adding the payroll module makes it ₹3,542.
  • SalaryBox: ₹2,700 on Starter (₹1,350 a month + ₹27 per user, billed quarterly). Payroll needs the Business plan.
  • Kredily: ₹3,499 on Professional (₹1,749 for 25 employees + ₹70 per extra employee), payroll included; geofencing isn't listed.
  • greytHR: ₹4,495 on Growth, which covers 50 employees and includes payroll. The ₹2,495 Essential plan has no attendance.
  • Pocket HRMS: ₹4,495 on Professional (50 employees, billed annually), payroll included.
  • factoHR: ₹5,999 on Premium (50 employees, billed yearly), the first plan with geo-fencing; payroll included.
  • Truein: ₹6,792 (₹250 per user a year + a ₹69,000 yearly base fee, billed annually). No payroll.
  • Zoho People: ₹7,200 on Premium (₹144 per user, billed annually), the first plan with face and map-based attendance. Payroll is the separate Zoho Payroll product.
  • Keka: no published prices, and its pricing page mentions a setup fee.

The three pricing models, and how headcount changes the bill

Per employee: you pay the same amount for every employee. Attend Mitra and Zoho People work this way, so the bill grows in a straight line with your team.

Flat base plus extra employees: one price covers the first 25 or 50 employees, then each extra employee costs more. greytHR, Pocket HRMS, factoHR and Kredily work this way. They are relatively expensive for small teams and get cheaper per head up to the base headcount.

Base fee plus per user: a fixed fee plus a smaller per-user charge. Truein (₹69,000 a year) and SalaryBox (₹1,350 a month) work this way. For Truein the base fee is 85% of the yearly cost at 50 staff, so it suits large sites far better than small teams.

Here is how the same plans compare at 20, 50 and 200 employees, in ₹ per month before GST:

  • Attend Mitra (Attendance + Verified Attendance): 828 / 2,070 / 8,280
  • SalaryBox Starter: 1,890 / 2,700 / 6,750
  • Kredily Professional: 1,749 / 3,499 / 13,999
  • greytHR Growth: 4,495 / 4,495 / 17,245
  • Pocket HRMS Professional: 4,495 / 4,495 / 17,995
  • factoHR Premium: 5,999 / 5,999 / 23,849
  • Truein Time Capture: 6,167 / 6,792 / 9,917
  • Zoho People Premium: 2,880 / 7,200 / 28,800

Costs that don't show on the price card

The headline price is rarely the whole bill. Before you compare quotes, add these:

  • GST at 18% on the subscription. All prices in this guide are before GST.
  • Base fees, which some vendors show in smaller type next to the per-user price (Truein's is ₹69,000 a year).
  • Per-user add-ons: GPS live tracking costs ₹100 per user a month at SalaryBox and ₹140 at greytHR; Kredily's face recognition add-on is ₹50 per user a month.
  • Setup fees: Keka's pricing page mentions one without stating the amount.
  • Billing term: annual or quarterly billing means paying months in advance, which matters for cash flow.
  • Hardware: biometric machines are bought separately. SalaryBox sells one in its app; most phone-based tools need none.

What you get at each price level

Free (₹0): basic clock-in. Jibble lists GPS, geofence and face checks with unpublished plan limits; Kredily's free plan has web clock-in and statutory payroll calculations but no selfie or GPS attendance. Our guide to free attendance software in India covers the limits.

About ₹2,000–₹3,500 a month for 50 staff: phone check-in with GPS or geofence plus selfie or face checks. Payroll is included at Kredily, a module at Attend Mitra, and a higher plan at SalaryBox.

About ₹4,500–₹7,200 a month for 50 staff: HR suites with payroll built in (greytHR, Pocket HRMS, factoHR), face-recognition kiosks for large sites (Truein), or HR inside the Zoho ecosystem.

How to estimate your own cost

Work out a full year, not a month, and use your headcount 12 months from now, not today. Then follow these steps:

  • Write down how each group of staff clocks in (phone GPS, selfie or face, kiosk, biometric machine) and find the cheapest plan that covers it.
  • Decide whether payroll runs in the same tool, in a separate product or through an export.
  • Add base fees, the add-ons you need, the billing term and 18% GST.
  • Run the vendor's free trial with a real site before you sign: 7 days at greytHR and SalaryBox, 14 at Attend Mitra and Truein, 30 at Zoho People.
  • Compare the shortlisted tools side by side on our attendance software comparison.
